Office IT Relocation Services
Mycelium 365 provides end-to-end office IT relocation services across Australia, managing your technology from initial planning through to move day and post-relocation support.
We can relocate your existing technology into the new office, design and deploy completely new infrastructure, or do both — moving what is worth moving and replacing what is not. The engineering approach is the same one we apply to every engagement: Microsoft-first, security by design, and practical decisions made with the people who have to work in the space.
One team to manage the technology behind your move
An office relocation pulls in a long list of parties, and the technology usually sits in the gaps between them. Mycelium 365 acts as the technology lead — owning the IT relocation workstream, holding the dependencies and making sure each party has what they need at the right time.

What we can relocate
Equipment can be inventoried, labelled, disconnected, relocated, reinstalled and tested, so nothing arrives at the new site unaccounted for. Where specialist transport is required, we coordinate with appropriate commercial relocation providers.

Internet ready before your team arrives
Internet provisioning is the single most important dependency in an office move, and the one with the longest lead time. Carrier delivery for business fibre or Enterprise Ethernet can run for weeks, so new office internet setup should be scoped and ordered as soon as the site is confirmed — not once the fitout is finished.
Connectivity is designed, ordered and tested as part of the relocation, with backup carriage available so a delayed service does not become a closed office. Ongoing operation is covered by our Managed Network & Connectivity service.

Business Wi-Fi and network deployment
We can relocate your existing network equipment or design a new network for the premises, depending on the age of the hardware, the size of the new floor plate and how the space will actually be used. Office Wi-Fi installation is planned against the floor plan rather than guessed, then verified with coverage testing once the access points are live.
Cabling requirements are coordinated with your structured cabling contractor — network outlets, fibre, data cabling, access point locations, communications rooms and patch panels — so the work happens before ceilings close and desks arrive.

Your staff arrive. Their technology is ready.
Workstation relocation is planned desk by desk so people sit down on the first morning and work. Existing devices are relocated and reconnected, and any new machines are preconfigured before move day.
New device builds are delivered through Managed Endpoint & Device Management using Intune policy and Windows Autopilot, so a laptop configures itself on first sign-in.

Move existing infrastructure — or leave it behind
Suitable servers, storage and infrastructure can be shut down cleanly, relocated and recommissioned in the new communications room, with backups verified either side of the move.
A relocation is also the natural point to ask whether those systems should still be physically located in an office at all. If the hardware is due for replacement, or the new site has limited communications room space, moving the workload is often better value than moving the box. We can assess that as part of the design and, where it stacks up, deliver it through our Cloud Migration Services.

- Azure Virtual Desktop

Your cloud environment moves with your people
Your Microsoft cloud environment does not move with the furniture, but it does need to be validated against the new site — network paths, conditional access, printing, device compliance and application access all change when the office does.
We validate access before and after the relocation so problems are found during testing rather than by staff on Monday morning. Day-to-day administration continues under Managed Microsoft 365.

Phones and communications
Telephony is often the last thing considered and the first thing noticed. Number porting is coordinated with your carrier well ahead of the move, and call flows are rebuilt or verified so calls keep landing with the right team through the transition.

Meeting rooms ready from day one
Meeting rooms depend on power, cabling, mounting and network access being agreed with the fitout team early. Rooms are commissioned and tested with a real call before handover, including guest access for visitors.

Security by design — even during the move
Relocations introduce temporary weaknesses — open temporary networks, equipment in transit, rushed firewall rules and staff working from home or a shared space in between sites. Those gaps are planned for rather than discovered later.
Controls are applied to the new environment from the first day it is live, consistent with our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified management system and delivered alongside Managed Cyber Security.

Our office IT relocation process
Assess
Review the current environment and new premises — equipment inventory, connectivity, cabling, communications room, floor plan and business dependencies.
Design
Determine internet, network, Wi-Fi, cabling, infrastructure and equipment requirements for the new site, and agree what moves, what is replaced and what moves to the cloud.
Prepare
Order connectivity early, preconfigure firewalls, switches, access points and devices, and build the move schedule with every dependency mapped.
Relocate
Inventory, label, disconnect, transport and redeploy existing technology into the new premises, including racks, infrastructure and workstations.
Cut Over
Bring internet, networks, phones and business systems online at the new site, with backup connectivity available if a carrier service slips.
Test
Validate Wi-Fi coverage, wired connectivity, Microsoft 365, business applications, printing and meeting rooms before staff arrive.
Support
Move-day attendance and post-relocation engineering support while the new environment settles, then transition into steady-state managed support.
Opening a new office instead of moving?
The same service covers greenfield sites, where there is no existing technology to move and the whole environment has to be designed, procured and deployed to a date.
- New corporate offices
- Branch offices
- Warehouses
- Retail locations
- Construction offices
- Project offices
- Satellite offices
- Shared workspaces
- Interstate offices
Where you already have technology standards, we reproduce them so the new site behaves like every other site. Where you do not, we design the environment from scratch and document it as the standard for the next one.
